Canada’s Advanced Lithium Power signs Battery Deal with Fisker

The LA Times is reporting that Fisker Automotive has signed a deal with Vancouver-based Advanced Lithium Power Inc. On top of ordering (hopefully) thousands of 22.6-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion batteries for the Karma from ALP, Fisker will also make a “sizable” cash investment in the company. Fisker spokesman Russel Datz told the LA Times that two seats on the ALP board will go to Fisker. The exact number and cost of the batteries was not disclosed. Read more
Fisker Signs Up With Large Dealer Network

One of America’s largest auto dealer groups has been signed by Fisker Automotive to carry their sedan and hardtop convertible Karma plug-in hybrid models.
Automotive News has reported that the dealer group is the influential Ron Tonkin Automotive Group, which owns 15 dealerships in and around the Portland, OR area. AN says the group has 2007 sales of almost 23,000 new, used and fleet cars and trucks for a combined value of $466 million. Tonkin will be Fisker’s exclusive Oregon state dealership. Read more
